BEAM is a peer to peer support group for birth Mothers whose children have been adopted, are in care or live elsewhere

We care passionately about what has happened to you.

Every mum who comes to BEAM has suffered loss.  We seek to empower and strengthen women regardless of what has happened.  You are worthy of a new beginning.

What we do

We provide an online 12 week wellbeing course to any birth mother in the UK.

We have weekly online 'Coffee BEAM' mornings run by our mums. They have different themes each week, for example,  dreams, our mindset, beauty, animals, all types of creativity, etc.

For those able to join us in Ipswich, there are art/creative sessions, support meetings and trips out.

There is no judgement.

All of this is confidential, caring and it’s free.

How we do it

BEAM is a place where you can really be listened to and understood. We have times of sharing, learning, laughter and tears. Every mother here understands like no one else ever could.

Why we do it

We do it because you will always be a mother. We want to see women discover their worth and value, regardless of what has happened to them.

If you have given birth to a child you will be that child’s mother for the rest of their life. We want to support you in the loss and pain you are experiencing – whether your child was taken recently or many years ago. This might be by forced adoption or agreement.

You do not have to live with this unbearable pain alone. BEAM is here to help you work through the emotions you are feeling with others who truly understand.

No mother should have to suffer this pain alone.
